The Staff Development Centre of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura organized a dynamic workshop on leadership, teamwork, and productivity tailored for the non-academic staff of the Faculty of Technology. This workshop, held on the 3rd and 4th of January 2025 at the serene Ananthaya Resort in Chilaw, aimed to foster personal growth and professional excellence among participants.
The workshop commenced at 10:30 a.m. with an inspiring keynote address by Prof. Saman Yapa, the Director of the Staff Development Centre. Prof. Yapa emphasized the critical role of non-academic staff in driving institutional success and highlighted the purpose of the workshop as a platform for learning, collaboration, and self-improvement. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the university administration, including the Vice Chancellor, for their unwavering support in organizing this event despite prevailing budgetary constraints. The Dean of the Faculty of Technology, Prof. Renuka Nilmini, followed with an empowering address, acknowledging the dedication and resilience of the non-academic staff in ensuring the seamless functioning of the faculty.
