Staff Development Centre organized a training programme on “Administering First-Aid” for the Technical Officers in the University. The programme was held on 14th and 23rd November 2023 at the Skills Lab of the Faculty of Medical Sciences. The staff of the University Medical Centre conducted the training along with two resource people in the medical field. Dr. Champika Amarasinghe, Director General of the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and Dr. Yasasvi Walpita, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Community Medicine at University of Colombo conducted the afternoon sessions for the participants in the program.
